THE PALM JOURNAL [of the Palm Society of Southern California, has grown to a 48-page (7 by 10-inch size) illustrated periodical devoted to information about palms, contributed primarily by IPS members living in California. Issues feature a color cover and occasional limited use of additional color. Information and cover photos for several back issues are available in our library.
Membership/Subscriptions
Subscription rate includes six issues per year. Rates and membership information is available on the California Chapter membership application.

The November 17th meeting of the Palm Society of Southern California was held at Lotusland in Montecito, Santa Barbara County. The Lotusland estate is a favorite destination of palm lovers and those attending were not disappointed.
The PSSC Annual Banquet will be held on January 26th at The Huntington, San Marino (near Pasadena). The meal will be in Banta Hall, with the meeting in the Ahmanson classroom.

In general, PSSC meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of every other month in the following order of rotation:
• July 2007: Orange/Riverside Counties
• Sept. 2007: San Diego/Imperial Counties
• Nov. 2007: Ventura/Santa Barbara Counties
• Jan. 2008: Annual Banquet
• March 2008: Los Angeles/San Bernardino Counties
• May 2008: Orange/Riverside Counties
• July 2008: San Diego/Imperial Counties
• Sept. 2008: Ventura/Santa Barbara Counties
