News Update

he Pacific Northwest Palm & Exotic Plant Society (PNWP&EPS) held a General Meeting on November 26th, 2007. Election of the society executive committee for 2008 was followed by a workshop on plant protection techniques, led by experienced club members. Their demonstrations featured the use of these techniques on actual specimens, with ample opportunity for interaction. Among the plants discussed were various palm species, tree ferns, and bananas.

All general meetings in Vancouver are held in the Floral Hall at VanDusen Gardens, 37th Avenue at Oak St., starting at 7:30 pm. There is no admission and everyone is welcome. Exotic plants are raffled at each General Meeting! Come to the meeting for the chance to take one home!
